The SKU import tool allows you to add SKUs from a CSV file in bulk.
We recommend working with your account manager to learn how to use this tool.
Once you have formatted the SKUs as explained below, select the SKU Class to which the items belong, paste the rows into the textbox and click, “Import Entries.”
Formatting SKUs for the SKU Import Tool
ActionFlow allows you to import the following fields into the SKU table:
-
Name
-
Unit
-
Length
-
Depth
-
Unit Cost
-
Margin
-
Accounting Mapping
-
DrawingItemValue1
-
DrawingItemValue2
-
DefaultRevenue
-
Default Category
-
Description
-
SKUAlias
-
CostGroup
-
Thickness
- Name is the only required field.
- Include blanks for skipped fields.
- Format one SKU item per line, with comma-separated values.
One way to import SKU items in bulk is to use a formula in excel to group the individual fields into a single field with commas.
Name,Unit,Length,Depth,Unit Cost,Margin,Accounting Mapping,DrawingItemValue1,DrawingItemValue2,DefaultRevenue,Default Category,Description,SKUAlias,CostGroup,Thickness
The first field’s cell, “Name” is selected then add &”,”& then select the next field’s cell, “Unit” with &”,”&.
In the example above, Name,Unit,Length,Depth,Unit Cost are included.
To enter two records of just Name and Cost, there are 3 empty fields, therefore there are 4 commas separating the two values:
Baltic Brown,,,,8.50
Caledonia,,,,9.25
Note: SKU Names must be unique. Duplicates will cause an error.
