Set the Unit Cost (Unit Cost, SlabSqFt, Slab Cost)

The Unit Cost is where you enter the default cost of the SKU Item to calculate the profit margin of the job or for tracking other relevant cost metrics. The unit cost could be what your shop is paying for an item or it could be how much it cost your company. For example, if you know the approximate amount it costs you in wages to complete a linear foot of beveled edge, ActionFlow can estimate the total cost of edge labor.

For slabs (SlabSqft & Slab Cost)

The SlabSqFt column is a read-only field that calculates the square footage of the slab based on the default length and depth.

The Slab Cost column is a read-only field that calculates the slab cost based on the unit cost provided here and the calculated SlabSqFt.

ActionFlow also has more advanced tools for tracking job costs – such as Hourly Definitions, which lets you define costs more accurately depending on the material and other factors. For more information, talk to your account manager.
