E-Signatures - Overview and Pricing
ActionFlow users can now send, manage, and receive digital signatures directly within the platform. Users can easily attach legally compliant signature placeholders to the footers of their reports for quick delivery to customers and builders. All document activity is tracked through ActionFlow, and pending or signed documents are easily accessible.
Integration with SignNow
ActionFlow has partnered with SignNow as the integration service to manage the digital signatures and document traffic. SignNow's service allows ActionFlow to deliver and collect legally-binding, security compliant signatures.
We are very excited about the benefits that this new feature will provide. While we would love to offer this service for free, it's important to understand why there is a cost associated with it.
- Pay-Per-Use Cost Structure
- Every time an e-signature is generated, there is an associated cost incurred by ActionFlow. Unlike other features we provide, this is the first one where every signature used results in a direct charge to us. Therefore, we need to implement monthly charge to ensure the sustainability of this feature.
- Compliance and Legal Requirements
- Digital signatures must adhere to stringent legal and compliance standards. Each signature involves identity verification, audit trails, encryption, and certificate management. These regulations ensure that digital signatures are legally binding, secure, and tamper-proof. Maintaining this level of security and compliance comes at a cost, which is reflected in our pricing model.
- Competitive Pricing
- Compared to other signature services like DocuSign, which charges around $3 per signature, our pricing offers more flexibility.
- Other signature services follow similar structures, where monthly plans range from $10 to $40 per user, but their per-signature cost can still exceed $3 depending on the tier.
- (This is always for the TECHNICAL INTEGRATION -> not the manual templates that may be more common)
- Why Monthly Allocation?
- The pricing structure for SignNow (and other signature providers) operate on a monthly schedule. We incur monthly charges for a signature allocation that expires. To align with this and to match our current monthly billing cycle, we've structured our pricing so that your signature allocation will reset every month. This helps us with the sustainability of this feature by allowing us greater management over signature allocation and ensures that we can track and control usage efficiently across all accounts.
- Best Practice: Given the cost associated with this service, we recommend using eSignatures only when necessary. They should serve as a final confirmation of completed work, rather than for bulk sending. This will help users manage costs and keep their document storage streamlined.
