How to Allocate an Invoice for Inventory

How to Allocate an Invoice for Inventory

A tutorial of how to allocate an invoice to assign cost to slabs in ActionFlow's inventory module and GridView module.

Info
The allocated cost is split up based on the Calculated Cost of each slab which is the unit cost of the slab times the area.

Allocate an Invoice for an Order

To allocate an invoice across multiple slabs to assign their cost, click the "Tasks" menu for the Inventory Order and then click either "Allocate Invoice" or "Allocate Selected"

ActionFlow will look for all the slabs in the order (in the case of Allocate Invoice) or the selected slabs (Allocate Selected) and find those:
  1. HAVE a Unit Cost
  2. DO NOT have an Invoice #

Fill in the required fields:
  1. Amount
  2. Invoice #
  3. Invoice Date

The invoice amount is divided across the slabs' cost and the invoice # and date are recorded.

Allocate an Invoice for Multiple Orders (GridView)

  1. To allocate an invoice across multiple orders,
  2. Go to the GridView tab.
  3. Select the Inventory Item Record Type and then the material and color in the SKU Class and SKU Item fields.
  4. Retrieve Records.
  5. You will likely filter the Status for "Available" slabs and then where the Invoice # is empty.
  6. Once you have the correct slabs in the GridView, go to the Tasks menu and click "Allocate Invoice"
  7. Enter at least the Amount, Invoice #, and Invoice Date and click "OK"
