Job Costing in ActionFlow
The questions you want to answer by understanding your costs:

- What is a good margin?
- Do I need to adjust prices?
To answer those questions, you need to know your costs.
There are different philosophies (for example, cost accounting vs throughput accounting) about how to answer those questions and we have multiple tools depending on how you approach making a profit.
There are multiple tools for calculating and reporting job cost in ActionFlow. The complexity of the tools varies and how they are set up will vary from shop to shop. This is not an exhaustive list so work with your account manager to determine how to best track your job costs.
- Material Waste % - estimating material waste for SqFt based jobs
